FounderI am a London-based fashion designer and tailor with roots that trace back to São Paulo, Brazil. My journey in fashion began in 2005, and over the years, my passion for tailoring grew, eventually leading me to discover that this craft runs deep in my family. Tailoring is in my blood—my grandparents and great-grandfather were all skilled tailors.
A defining moment in my career was visiting Vila Franca das Naves in Portugal, where my great-grandfather once ran his tailor shop. Connecting with people who knew him and hearing stories about his work was an unforgettable experience that deepened my appreciation for this timeless craft.
As a designer, I believe in creating more than just garments—I strive to design timeless pieces that prioritize style over fleeting fashion trends. This philosophy is central to the vision of Straat, where craftsmanship and enduring style come together in every piece.
